We often get so caught up in our day-to-day at work and home that we forget some of the bigger things that happen in life.

I’ve always thought that having a balanced life needs to include a strong focus on family, friends, success at work, and being involved in something you’re insanely passionate about.C0D9071F-2E0F-4F52-ACA5-988E5221142B

From Tuesday to Saturday next week, I’ll be OOO participating with Tour de Cure.  TDC is a cancer fundraising charity I’ve been involved in for years.  Though a group of roughly 100 riders and inspirational people, we raise $4-5M per year that is donated to a range of Cancer support, research, and prevention causes.FC39D256-2186-4B1F-956A-D52654770A01

There are multiple tours that we run throughout the year. Next week I’ll be riding with 20 inspirational people in Western Australia from Margaret River (an amazing Australian wine region) to Perth.  We’ll be covering over 500km across 4 days.  We will visit a number of different rural schools to share TDC’s Be Fit, Be Healthy, Be Happy message and donate small amounts to a local cancer-related organisation each day.IMG_0301

As many of you know, being Fit and Healthy is a strong passion of mine for multiple reasons.  I lost my father to cancer 15 years ago, and I want to set the right example for my kids—eating right, exercising and showing the right type of competitive spirit to help drive your own sense of personal achievement and success.

As part of my involvement in TDC I’ve committed to raising $5k from personal donations from my network.  If you are interested in supporting me and donating to TDC it would be hugely appreciated.  My fundraising page can be found here—and you can donate any amount you feel comfortable with.

To follow mine and TDC’s progress next week, feel free to connect to both my FB page and TDC’s FB page.

Thanks for your support.
