The global leader in retargeting is rollin'...fast

I’m not a believer in numerology, but there are a lot of very round numbers that lined up this month. Earlier today, we announced a significant company milestone – AdRoll is beyond a $100M run rate with over 10,000 customers in 100 countries. And, while those numbers are staggering, I want to take this opportunity to recognize the hard work that our team has put into building a product and service customers love.

So, how did we get here? Adam will be discussing how we found our early traction next week, but in explaining modern day AdRoll, I point to the culture of openness and innovation that we’ve cultivated at every stage. As I mentioned in our Best Places to Work announcement, we pride ourselves on six maxims: hire great people and help them grow; be open and authentic; build innovative products that work for lots of people; do right by the customers, community, and each other; take work seriously, but not yourself; and do more with less. Of course, the most important of these is the first – we are nothing more than our team, and we continue to assemble the best and brightest in our space.

We’ve accomplished building a platform that is both powerful and usable – values often at odds. Because it’s so easy for a customer to get up and running, and with no contracts or minimums, we’ve attracted a global audience of advertisers. We now have happy customers that are very large and very small and in nearly every vertical (b2b, entertainment, non-profit, travel). Retargeting’s not just for retail anymore.

Our good friends over at Nitro are just one example out of 10,000. According to their CEO Sam Chandler, “retargeting with AdRoll is an essential component of our marketing strategy. It’s every founder’s dream to grow their business and do it this quickly. With a bit of luck and a hefty dose of hard work (and great customers), we’ve achieved great things here at AdRoll. Though in many ways, it still feels like Day #1…
