Facebook no longer accepting 100×72 ads

New_facebookRHS-03As I mentioned on the blog back in May, Facebook has embarked on a path to rolling out larger, more engaging ad formats that deliver better performance for advertisers. The Right Hand Column (RHC) ad unit previously accepted image sizes of 100×72 pixels, but going forward RHC will require image sizes to be 600×315 pixels, rendered at 254×133.

Facebook officially stopped accepting 100×72 RHC ads on September 1, 2014, and will stop serving this ad size altogether by October 1, 2014.

As seen in our recently released 2014 report, retargeting on Facebook is a very profitable strategy for advertisers in every industry, and we’re excited about what this larger ad size means for better performance results for you. However, you’ll need to add the new size to ensure your current Facebook campaigns remain active and perform well.

If you haven’t already, log in to your account and add 600×315 ads to your existing Facebook RHC campaigns as soon as possible. You can also use any existing creative in that size that you’ve already uploaded to your account for other campaigns. If you need assistance with creative resizing, we’re happy to help.
