Yesterday, AdRoll joined forces with almost 100 organizations including Google, Facebook, Apple and Airbnb in filing an amicus brief in State of Washington & State of Minnesota v. Trump. The case challenges the recent executive order establishing restrictions on immigration and international travel based on national origin. Immigrants make important contributions to our company and are woven into the fabric of our community here at AdRoll. We found it essential to sign on to a brief expressing these sentiments.

Amicus briefs are filed by “friends of the court” to provide additional information or unique perspectives for the judge to consider in deciding the case. Beyond offering a safe haven to the world’s most vulnerable, being the land of opportunity and a fresh start has attracted the greatest minds and innovators from around the world. Immigrants or their children founded more than 200 of the companies on the Fortune 500 list, including Apple, Disney, Tesla, General Electric, AT&T, Google, and Boeing. America’s success in attracting and incorporating immigrants into our society is unrivaled. That is a direct result of the welcome, inclusiveness, and opportunity that people find here.

Although our headquarters are in the United States, AdRoll’s mission is global. We care deeply about ensuring all immigrant employees continue to have their rights protected and urge the courts to find this executive order unlawful.
